Ahead of London Fashion Week, the co-founder of EE72 heads to London’s Madame Tussauds for the unveiling of his wax figure.
London’s Madame Tussauds has been creating and housing wax figures of cultural icons and celebrities since its opening in 1835. From the Beckhams to the Royal family, the defining names of our time are immortalised there, lining the halls of the museum’s Marylebone Road location. Now, Edward Enninful is joining them.
Unveiled today in honour of his industry-shifting contributions to fashion and culture, Edward is the latest name to join the museum’s collection. Donning a Burberry suit and glasses, his wax figure has been showcased around London’s Ladbroke Grove – the place where he was raised when first moving to London from Ghana – before its return to Madame Tussauds, where it will remain on display.
“As a young boy from Ghana, if I can make it here, so can you,” says Edward, reflecting on his latest achievement.
