Here is what the Central Saint Martins Class of 2026 is doing next

By EE72

PHOTOGRAPHY BY MAYA-ASKA

As we enter 2026’s graduation season, EE72 visits the CSM students leaving university behind, looking to the future, and looking fabulous while they do so.

Graduation is a time full of hope – and that’s no different for the students graduating from London’s prestigious Central Saint Martins University this year. Across courses such as Knitwear, Menswear, and Womenswear, some of the globe’s most compelling young creatives are being released into the world, shaped by the institution that birthed Alexander McQueen, John Galliano and Phoebe Philo, among others.

As the newly graduated class of 2026 enters a new, exciting chapter in their creative journeys and looks to kickstart their careers, travel the world, and take a well-deserved break, we met 13 of the graduates at the precipice of change.

Head below to hear what they’re wearing as they embark on post-graduate life, and what they hope their next steps hold…

What are you wearing?
My collection is called Gardening Not Architecture and this is a vest from the collection. It’s based on a card game called Oblique Strategies which helps tackle creative blocks.

What are your plans for the future?
Try and get a job. I originally thought about doing the MA but I think my brain needs a break.

What are you wearing?
These are hand-woven henna gloves from my collection.

What are your plans for the future?
Hopefully find a job, work and get some experience. Maybe at some point in the future I would consider an MA. I am not sure that I would fully commit to starting a brand right now.

What has been the best part of this year?
Having a lot of creative freedom to choose my own topic and themes. There was a lot of trail and error, but it was so great to see everything together on show day.

What are you wearing?
Dress shoes, a pair of joggers and a white shirt.

What are your plans for
the future?
Currently I am looking at doing an MA in Paris. Long-term I would love to settle in Paris
or Milan and have an industry job or work for different companies and learn as much as I can.

What are you wearing?
These boots I am wearing I knitted and hand-dyed for my final collection.

What are your plans for the future?
I am open to anything at the moment, I would love to stay in London and gain more experience.

Best part of this year?
It was the process of making things. It was very meditative when I got into the flow of knitting everything, and it all came together.

These shoes that I am wearing are from my brand called ParisN’London.

What are your plans for the future?
I want to carry on building my brand and continue supporting Black culture within fashion.

What was the best moment of the show?
Probably having everyone around me supporting me. Also, hearing the music and seeing everything come together was rewarding.

What are you wearing?
I am wearing a secondhand Primark top with crazy shoulder pads, a leather dress I made a few months ago and my favorite boots which I made last year and are totally trashed now.

What are your plans for the future?
I want to do more custom pieces and just create constantly. The ultimate dream would be to work for Dries Van Noten. They do the chicest grey jersey pieces.

What was the best part of this year?
The people. I think the reason you come to CSM is the people you will meet. I want to work and make with my friends forever.

Church’s chelsea boots, some jeans I made in our denim project in second year and a Carhartt jacket.

What are your plans for the future?
I would like to do a masters. I love making work with friends and I make a lot of clothes. I’d maybe like to have a small brand, but I’d also be happy working for someone if they appreciate small ideas.

What are you wearing?
I made this top myself. It was based on one of my illustration drawings.
These are my daily trousers and ballet flats, and a backpack that I designed for my collection.

What are the plans for the future? Get a job, get money! I would also like to take time to make my ownwork and custom pieces.

How was the final show?
Very chaotic, very stressful but it was great. There was a lot going on but I felt that I had accomplished something.

A pleated dinner shirt, from the first look of my collection, and this is a beaded accessory that I have engineered onto belt loops and bags.

What are your plans for the future?
I am pursuing starting my brand in London. I want to get the collection out there. Some funding applications open in the fall which I will start applying for. I want to establish my work in London as I love the city and it has pushed me to find my own path in design.

What are you wearing?
I am wearing some shoes I bought for the collection and jeans that I got gifted at my internship at Celine last year. I’m also wearing a friend’s polo shirt and a blazer that I made for the collection.

What are your plans for the future?
I would like to break into the industry, although it is daunting right now. I would love to go back to Paris and keep working with my hands. I don’t want to end up sitting behind a computer.
